1 by myself, I am pretty psyched by the announcement of the Absolute Wonder Woman by George Pérez. By the videos it seems like Olliff has opted for a more over the top coloring in this second book, but I will wait to have it in my hands to judge it.Īfter seeing this Absolute Swamp Thing Vol. So, I have to say I am very happy with Vol. I would have gone for a more subdued coloring in many instances (like Olliff did on Thor), but it's beautiful all the same. I am so glad I was wrong.Īnd finally, let's talk about the so much debated new coloring: it looks beautiful. When this project was announced I feared that the new coloring was only done to cover deficiencies in linework reproduction. First of all, I have to say that linework (which, for me, it's always the most important part) is very well reproduced. It was a mammoth virtually unreadable at 800+ pages (that, and the fact that some covers/pages were not that well reproduced). That's the main reason I returned Absolute Fourth World when I received it.

And, one of the best aspects of the book is that it's about 400+ pages, which is the maxim amount of pages a volume this big should have. Let's go first for the production values: it has a nice sewn binding (which opens flatly pretty well), nice paper, a nice presentation and some cool extras. 1 (50 euro at Amazon Spain) and the verdict is: Ok, I have just received Absolute Swamp Thing Vol.
